Alaska Newspapers, Inc. Expands and Promotes
Alaska Newspapers, Inc. promoted Barry Anderson to Director of Sales and Marketing, and selected Ken Hunt as Account Executive.
Anderson served as ANI’s Sales Manager since 2009 and increased sales for the regional newspaper chain by 40 percent. He has worked for some of Alaska’s most prominent media companies, including Alaska Business Monthly, the Alaska Journal of Commerce, and the Anchorage Daily News. Anderson’s duties include managing all sales and marketing staff, budgeting, B2B relationship management in both rural and urban Alaska, and coordinating with both division managers and executive leadership on strategy and growth.
Hunt’s deep knowledge of the printing industry is earned with more than 15 years experience. He also served with distinction in the Army’s 41st Combat Engineer Battalion. Hunt’s industry-specific experience and customer service training allows him to provide ANI customers with high-quality and low-cost options. Hunt’s duties include securing new clients while providing full and complete printing services for current clients.
“We are very pleased with Anderson’s results for Alaska Newspapers, Inc. since joining us,” said ANI President Margaret Nelson. “We look to both Hunt and Anderson to continue increasing revenues and providing opportunities for Calista Shareholders.”
ANI is a wholly owned subsidiary of Calista Corporation.
