Tunitsa Construction, LLC Awarded $14.4M in Contracts
Location for both Contracts on JBER
(Anchorage, Alaska) – Tunista Construction, LLC is the recipient of two construction contracts worth a total of $14.4 million. Tunista won a Small Business Administration 8(a) sole-source contract with a $4.2 million winning bid. The second contract is a competitive SBA 8(a) set-aside project awarded at $10.2 million. Both contracts will entail work on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
Add/Alter Air Support Operations Squadron Training Facility
- SBA 8(a) sole-source contract worth $4.2 million
- Will enhance and expand training facilities for the 16th Air Support Operations Squadron, including facilities for equipment maintenance, storage including 14 vehicle bays and more
- Build project with ground breaking will take place by end of July with a finish in 2012
Multipurpose Machine Gun Range
- Competitive SBA 8(a) set-aside project with $10.2 million
- About 25 groups bid on this design/build project
- Scope includes additional target lanes, two new buildings, covered bleachers, site development, and more
- Project start is summer with a finish in 2012
- Major subcontractors are Brice Incorporated and Alcan Electrical & Engineering
