Calista Real Estate acquires and oversees the management of distressed and foreclosed properties in the northwest and southwest parts of the United States. Those homes can then be turned around and rented to its original owners or others until the property can be turned for a higher dollar. Since the company was founded in June 2011, it has already purchased more than three-dozen houses and condominiums in Portland, Seattle and Phoenix.
