Calista Corporation Talent Bank
As a service to our shareholders, Calista Corporation assists its shareholders and their lineal descendants in obtaining employment. We developed the "Talent Bank" program for that purpose and expanded the program to include Website access in 2001.
The Talent Bank application is available at the Calista Corporation office or may be downloaded from our website. Once the application is completed, the application is entered into a database where your history, preferences, skills and education are noted. This database will allow us to identify shareholders interested in specific categories when we are notified of jobs that have become available at Calista Corporation, it’s subsidiaries, and other businesses and agencies in the Anchorage area and through out the State; and will allow us to quickly contact those individuals qualified for available jobs. Once we are notified of job openings we search the database to see if a Shareholder/Descendant has the minimum qualifications for that job. When a match is found, the HR department contacts the shareholder/descendant and notifies them of the opening. The Shareholder is given two options at that point. The HR Department can submit a printed "generic resume" from the information entered into the database on behalf of the shareholder to the organization or the shareholder may contact the organization directly. No individual information is submitted without the shareholder’s permission. The application will be maintained in our active files indefinitely. Your consideration for any position depends upon complete and accurate information.
In order for the system to work effectively, it is important that applicants keep complete and current information on file. If any information you include in this application changes, we recommend you let us know as soon as possible in case we need to contact you for a possible employment offer. Important changes you should contact us for are: address or telephone changes, change of employment or updating of employment information. We cannot stress enough the need to keep your contact information current!
In addition, even if you are currently employed we would strongly encourage you to complete this application and return it to us. Again, we would contact you before offering your resume or work experience information to anyone. We would like to remind everyone that we are not an employment agency; we are here to assist our shareholders and descendants with employment issues and pointing them in the right direction.
