Calista Corporation Announces 2013 Financial Results
Revenues Down, Pre-Tax Net Income Up
(Anchorage, Alaska) –
The Calista Corporation announces overall positive results from 2013 operations. As management anticipated, federal sequestration budget issues placed pressure on revenues with 2013 results of $369 million, down eight percent from the corporate record of $403 million in 2012. However, pre-tax net income increased to $35.4 million in 2013 from $34.8 million in 2012. Pre-tax net income as a percentage of revenues increased to 9.6 percent of revenues in 2013, compared to 8.7 percent of revenues the prior year.
“Calista recognizes that a talented and dedicated workforce allows management to operate with greater efficiency,” said Calista Corporation Board Chair Willie Kasayulie. “The board further understands the next few years may be very challenging economically at the local, state and federal levels. We must be mindful of opportunities that balance growth and stability.”
