  • 3,947 pounds of school supplies including 550 backpacks stuffed with supplies, 270 scientific calculators and three large boxes of classroom supplies
  • $18,000 worth of shipping and freight services donated by SBA Global Logistics, Lynden and STG Incorporated
  • $10,000 in contributions by YHL, Yulista Aviation, Y-Tech Services, Chiulista Services and Tunista Services

Why

YHL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Calista Corporation. Based in Huntsville, Alabama, Yulista is the largest subsidiary and the farthest away from Alaska. Staff wanted to support Calista Shareholders and Descendants beyond the revenue they generate. In 2014, about 1,700 pounds of school supplies were donated to students in St. Mary’s and Crow Village Sam School.
