Employees at  Yulista Holding, LLC (YHL) wanted to support Calista Shareholders and Descendants beyond the revenue they generate. For the third year, employees coordinated with Calista’s Board of Directors and Yukon-Kuskokwim Region school districts to donate school supplies.

In early August the campaign visited and donated over 700 backpacks (1 per student) and 8 boxes for teachers to Russian Mission, Marshall, Nunapitchuk and Ayapruk Elitnaurvik.

Last year Josh Herren, YHL President, said: “Calista’s primary strategic goal is to increase services and benefits to our Shareholders and Descendants. As managers we must work hard to provide profits. As moms and dads, it is important to support youth in the Calista Region.”

  • 3,100 pounds of school supplies
  • 718 backpacks
