CALISTA CORPORATION

OVERVIEW

Investment in the Calista Region and development of its resources include development of human resources so that Shareholders and their Descendants will be prepared for independent living and economic self-sufficiency. The goal of the Calista Scholarship Fund is to educate the leaders of tomorrow and promote self-determination and cultural pride. Scholarship recipients are expected to use their education for the benefit of the Region and its people.

The Calista Scholarship Fund was established in 1994, and has 501(c)(3) recognition under the Internal Revenue Service. This makes donors eligible to receive tax deductions on donations and gifts made to the Fund. Scholarships will not be restricted to a particular field of study, unless a donor designates their contribution for specific areas of study. For example, a mineral exploration company working on Calista lands may make a donation to the Scholarship Fund with the stipulation that the money be awarded to a student pursuing a geologic science, engineering or natural science degree.
