Calista Corporation to Hold 2023 Annual Meeting on June 2

Aims to Hold Meeting in Y-K Region

(Anchorage, Alaska) – Calista Corporation has set June 2 as the date for its 2023 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.

“A key goal for the Board of Directors is to hold Calista’s Annual Meeting in each village,” says Willie Kasayulie, Calista Corp. Board Chair. “Travel is expensive and we wish to meet Shareholders where they live. A total of 34 communities have hosted an Annual Meeting, out of more than 40 permanent communities in our Region.”

Voting in the Annual Meeting will begin on or by April 28 and end May 30 at 5 p.m. Alaska time. For the meeting to be valid, Shareholders must cast enough votes to represent a majority (more than 50 percent) of shares. This is known as quorum. Proxy voting materials are expected to be mailed on or before April 28 to allow several weeks for proxy voting. Shareholders who opted for electronic delivery will instead receive an email the same day materials are mailed. Voting, including online voting at www.CalistaVote.com, begins the same day that materials are sent out.

Opting for electronic delivery of annual meeting materials allows for instant access to materials and voting. Nearly 5,000 pounds of paper has been saved by Shareholders choosing this method. In 2022 alone, 11,000 pounds of paper were used for mailing Annual Meeting items. Opting in is free and can be completed at www.CalistaCorp.com/ElectronicDelivery.
