This year, the Board adopted a new five year (2025-2029) strategic plan for Calista Corporation. In adopting the new strategic plan, the Board updated the Calista Vision and Mission statements.
- Our updated Vision: A world class corporation exemplifying cultural values, servant leadership and economic prosperity.
- Our updated Mission: Improve the economic and social well-being of our Shareholders and communities through growth, leadership, collaboration and financial discipline.
Our Core Values exemplify how we, the Calista Board of Directors, work for you, our Shareholders. We serve you through dedication and loyalty to Calista vision/mission, people and customers, along with service to Shareholders, customers and the public. These two of our nine Core Values highlight our updated Vision.
We as the Board, along with the staff of Calista, are working for you, the Shareholders. We are Shareholders, and we aim to embody the values that bring us together as the Central Yup’ik and Athabascan people of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Region.
Our Vision has been updated to emphasize the importance of “exemplifying cultural values” first and foremost. In order to grow from where we are today, we must look at the lessons we’ve gained from our Elders and the generations that have come before us.
We will work to exemplify “servant leadership” and keep you, the Shareholder, in mind while we make decisions as a business and as fellow Shareholders. We have you in mind as we work toward our goal to increase Calista Shareholder benefits, employment, education and development opportunities.
Not least, but still important, our world class corporation aims to exemplify “economic prosperity” for our Shareholders. This is done in a way that upholds our traditional values and subsistence way of life. Our strategic goal is to Sustainably develop and protect Calista’s natural resources.
We stay rooted in our culture, grow the business and work to provide more for you, our Shareholders. Quyana for your time and thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
