L to R: Earl D. Samuelson, Sr., Nick P. Andrew, Jr., Margaret Pohjola and Willie Kasayulie are sworn in at the 2026 Annual Meeting.

(Anchorage, Alaska) – Calista Corporation Shareholders who cast their vote in the 2026 Annual Meeting of Shareholders elected four Board members to three-year terms.

Reelected Board members are Margaret Pohjola (Unit 7), Willie Kasayulie (Unit 8), Earl D. Samuelson, Sr. (Unit 9) and Nick P. Andrew, Jr. (Unit 10).

This year’s Annual Meeting was held June 5 in Bethel. Voting opened April 27 and closed on June 1, lasting five weeks. Shareholders were also able to vote in person at the meeting. Nearly 13,500 Shareholders voted by paper proxy or online.

“Voting is the most powerful action we take as Shareholders and U.S. citizens. Our Elders created Calista with Board representation by geographic units. This allows each part of the Calista Region to have a voice on the Board of Directors,” said Board Chair Willie Kasayulie.

This year, 19 communities in the Yukon-Kuskokwim region achieved a 60 percent or higher voting rate. Of all voters, over 8 in 10 voted online, including 2 in 3 in Elders. This is an all-time record for the percentage of Annual Meeting votes cast online.

The Inspector of Elections was Sramek-Hightower, a certified public accounting firm which validated and counted all votes and certified the election. Learn more at www.calistacorp.com/AnnualMeeting.
